Help Save Historical Airport from Housing Development

Hi,

It is with sad news that I read that yet another historical Airfield is going to be swallowed up by developers. The airfield in question is currently a civil Airport and was once an RAF Aerodrome called RAF Middleton-St-George and also Goosepool airfield during WW2. There are many of the original hangers and buildings still surviving and also the old dispersal area's.

If you can be so kind, please sign the petition at the attached link and also a brief history of the Aerodrome is on the 2nd link. There is more information on the internet. Andrew Mynarski VC flew his last mission from here and also the Tirpitz Raid was flown from here.

If anyone would like to contribute more to this post, please feel free to do so. The more help the better.

Many Thanks Edward
