Hi.

Does not appear in the GenQu6Abt lists as far as I can see. Do you have any further information?

Regards,

Hi again,
Comes from death card that clearly mentions fliegertod!

An Obergefreiter Hans Ellmann is listed by the Volksbund website on this date. He is buried in Kiel and his death place is listed as "Selenter See". It might be a training loss rather an operational one.

Nachname:Ellmann Vorname:Hans-Werner Dienstgrad:Obergefreiter Geburtsdatum:11.05.1923 Geburtsort:Frankfurt/M. Todes-/Vermisstendatum:09.08.1943 Todes-/Vermisstenort:Selenter See
Hans-Werner Ellmann ruht auf der Kriegsgräberstätte in Kiel-Nordfriedhof (Bundesrepublik Deutschland) .
Endgrablage: Block VII Grab 211

Hi,

could he be a passenger in a transport aircraft that crashed on this date?

He does apparently not appear in the training unit lists either.

Andreas B
