Identity Abschuss Hptm. Frank 2./NJG1 nr. Veghel 21-22 June 1943?

Dear all,

When I was re-analysing the 21-22 June 1943 Krefeld raid losses versus the documented German Nachtjagd and Flak claims for the NJWD 2nd edition, I came across the following Nachtjagd claim for which I cannot find a matching Bomber Command loss, who can help?:

Hptm. Hans-Dieter Frank: 35 2./NJG1 Halifax 1 km. W. Veghel (Himmelbett): 6.400 m. 01.48 Note: victory confirmed 19.12.1944

Cheers and thanks, Theo

Hi Theo and Frans,

I had Frank's victory as: HR685/TL-X of 35 "Madras Presidency" sqn. F/L T H Lane DFC RCAF and crew all POW...

....and attributed to Manfred Meurer the loss of JD205/KN-Y of 77 sqn. Sgt. J Gardner and 3 others POW, one man evaded capture and 2 men KIA

...Does that help or add to the confusion?
