2./KG 4 Stafu (April-May 1944)
I am trying to identify the attached signature from a Kampfgeschwader 4 Leistungbuch.
Dated to cover missions dating from April to May 1944 for 2./Kampfgeschwader 4 "General Wever", I am interested to see if anyone can put a name to this Leutnant and Stafu. I know that to identify a Stafu is sometimes nigh impossible however, it is always worth asking the question. Any help will be very well received. Regards Richard. Signed: H. Gänshirt. Without doubt. Deutsche Kurrentschrift("Sütterlin").

2./KG 4 Stafu (April-May 1944)
Matti, thank you very much indeed for identifying the signature as Hans Gaenshirt, and also to Roland for confirming too.
It is always good to be able to put names to all of the signatories in the documents, thanks for your help. Regards Richard. |

Re: 2./KG 4 Stafu (April-May 1944)
This matter makes me think to suggest the addition of personal signatures to websites with biographies, careers etc of pilots and leading officers of WW2.
Would make research a bit easier... Regards Roland |
