Re: Wolfgang Lippert's opponents

Hi,

I think that on 30.9.39 2 Ms 406s of GCIII/3 were hit in combat with 3./JG53.
Ms 406 no.123 was crash-landed by S/C Marias and written off and Lt. Patrou managed to force-land his damaged Ms 406. Both went down partially out of control so I think it was legitim to claim them as shot down.

Wolfgang Lippert's opponents

Hello Nick

Many thanks for your information. It is gratefully accepted! According to the information presented on this discussion regarding his claim on 7 April 1940 it appears that his opponent did not actually bail out but rather brought his damaged aircraft back to base. It would also seem that this was Hurricane I (P2542) "TP-X" which was eventually lost on 14 September 1940.

Horrido!

Leo

Re: Wolfgang Lippert's opponents

Hello All

For 15/05/40-20/05/40-09/06/40-20/06/40,see my additions and corrections (#34):"German night fighter top aces by plane" in this forum.

03/06/40=one spit claim and not a Bloch 152
in reality,one D.520 of GC.I/3(five lost) or MS.406 of GC.I/6 (five lost)

Also claims by III/JG53 and I(J)/LG2 (same place, hour)

Michel
