Re: 3rd Sept 1940 , 254 Squadron Crash

Thanks Ross / Chris, I have the Air 81 reports. I have a question. A woman wrote to the RAF of 26/1/41 asking for Mangion's family address in Malta to send something on. From the report it shows the crews were new to the Squadron.

The address of the letter is Castle Hill Lancaster, I'm wondering if this was possibly a lodging for Mangion, if so where would he have been stationed whilst he stayed there?

To see where he was prior to posting you need his service file, but this is not in the public domain.

This is obtained from the MoD, RAF Disclosures for a small admin fee. See the application form for limitations.

As Chris states the AHB also have no F1180, confirming why none appear in the RAFM microfilm, and have transferred the P files to the public domain so the TNA is the place to go.

Ross

Apologies forgot I was working at RAFM the time and files did come across my desk thanks to Mr. T. my boss.
