Hardware failure - website unreachable from 2005-03-05 09:10

From Lycos Webhosting:

All customer sites having domain names starting with 0-9, a, b and c are not able to access any of their data. We are currently repairing the broken machine till 9:10, sites will come back as soon as possible.

An updated news with the estimated remaining time will follow.

It appears that it took them all of saturday to solve the issue, my apologies for the loss of service.

Unfortunately there never was an updated news item, so that's the limit of our information.

I did not call their Helpdesk, which on a saturday AND the type of problem involved would certainly not have done any extra good - I know that branch too well to even try...

If there is any news update I'll post it here.

Thank God for that - when I tried to log in yesterday I got a message that said 'You are not allowed to access this site' I thought I was in trouble and had been banned!!!
