Industrial units unidentified pilots/oddities

Fellow enthusiasts

There were several units called Indus.Erla e.t.c, made very few claims, and most of those by Ernst-Albrecht Leube.

I put all my outstanding "unidentified" claims on a list, sorted it by front and date, this showed that "Indus" pilots claims were sometimes attributed to another unit also i.e two claims with exact same details including anerk.nr and name.

The mikrofilms are imperfect, but extremely accurate all the same, but claims for NJG pilots during 1942 were often re-entries exactly a year later...invisible until you start pilots lists. I also found Günther Rall's 199th-200th claims duplicated exactly a month later.

Now I have found duplication for Werner Dienst of I./JG 302, but it's not exactly a duplication, his claim of 1st July 1943 with3./JG 302 occurs again with exact details with 9./JG 300 on daily entries for 7th September 1943 !

Anyway back to "Indus" claims:-

2nd November 1943 1246 hrs B-24 3800 metres anerk.nr.1 Uffz "Jed...fer" Indus.Neustadt and JGr.Ital.

2nd November 1943 1253 hrs B-17 4000-5000 metres anerk.nr.2 Leutnant "Lorpollo" or "Lor Pollo" Indus.Neustadt and JGr.Ital(Italian pilot?)

18th March 1943 1537 hrs B-17 8000 metres anerk.nr.8 Gefr "Stein"
Indus.Fockewulff and I./JG 1.(exactly the time JG 1 was claiming others)

20th February 1944 1355 hrs B-17 7000 metres Uffz" Staudeberg" this name also comes up as a witness for a Ernst-Albrecht Leube claim. Indus.Erla

20th February 1944 1443 hrs B-17 7000 metres Fw "Lensch" or "Leusch". Indus.Erla

14th October 1943 1530 hrs B-17 3000 metres over Brussels Fw Wolf(forename and other information needed) Indus.Erla

Good searching

Kind regards

Johannes

Re: Industrial units unidentified pilots/oddities

Hi Leo

Thanks for you input.

We agree on Stein, Staudeberg and Wolf then, but who they were I do not know. I can see Jodejahn through the scrawl, but again who he was I cannot tell. But Leutsch I see no "T" and Wunderlich is such a scrawl, but it does not look to end in "ich" With Loschella, also I cannot see it, my guess is an Italien name, yet my JGr.Italien loses yielded nothing resembling either name.

Thanks again

Kind Regards

Johannes

Re: Industrial units unidentified pilots/oddities

Hi Guys

Erich Jodejahn is likely to be that of JG 53 who made one claim in 1942. Loschella/Lorpollo do not exist as names in Germany today.

Kind Regards

Johannes
