ID Needed on Supercharger Intake - Fw190 D9 ?

This came in from Germany. Was told it was Fw190 D9...based on some old photos...but now that it is in hand, "construction" appears to be German...but for sure the paint is not German (looks like a lot of re-paint). Also, I do not recall a piece of aluminum that is mounted just behind the intake being riveted on a D9...

An thoughts or ideas?

If what's shown is this photo is authentic, and there was only one design style, yours does not seem to fit.

I remember seeing photos of 109A's or F's with similar intakes on one or both sides. Is it possible this one is from one of them rather than a D?

I think those would have been asymmetric, being just an extension of the supercharger air intake bulge.

I can't help but think the intake looks more like that on a Do335.

Sorry Crimea, I don't know what you mean by asymmetric in this instance.
Here's a pic

Then again, maybe not...?

Peter, I mean when you look at the extension from the side, the top is essentially straight and the bottom is curved, therefore asymmetric.

OK, I see.
Getting back to a Dora, you don't think it looks like this one?
