Attack on Seagull

Hi,

Does anyone have details of an attack on HMAS Sydney's Seagull amphibian on the 21 June 1940.

It's possible that the aircraft was attacked in error by Gladiators from 33 Squadron.

The Seagull managed to land at Mersa Matruh only to have the undercarriage collapse.

I'm looking for details on the Gladiators and pilots involved.
