Lt.Kohlstrunk III/KG2 20.12.40
Hi, could anybody help confirm the following loss.
Dornier17Z III/KG2 W.Nr.2645 20.12.40 A/c crashed at St.Trond with 70% damage. Lt.Kohlstrunk and two crew injured, 1 airman killed. Can't see anything in Ulf Balke's " Der Luftkrieg in Europa " book. Best regs, Steve.

The loss return 21/12.40 contains the entry for this aircraft Luftflotte 2, item 7 Appears as III./KG 3 Absturz infolge unfreiwilliger Bedenberührung. Do 17 Z-3 2645 70% Ltn Kohlstrunk(F) Gefr Wenzlawiak (B) Ogefr Gutzeit (Bf) Uffz Heppe (Bs) +

It was the following:
1940-12-20, 9./KG 3, Do 17 Z-3, Do 17 Z-3, Fl.Pl. Saint-Trond (Sint-Truiden) Flugzeugführer Lt Kohlstrunk, Willi, verletzt Bombenschütze Gefr Wenzlawiak, Hans, verletzt Bordfunker Ogfr Gutzeit, Artur, verletzt Bordschütze Uffz Hoppe, Herbert, + Absturz infolge unfreiwilliger Bodenberührung. Bruch 70 %. Matti
