Re: losses of Ju.87 and Hs.126 on 22/05/40

Excellent clarification from both of you.

These and new more specific information regarding French claims (places) brings us to several reflections.

According to the new book "le groupe de chasse II/3":
French claims=8 Ju.87 and 2 Hs.126

S/C Tourné=2 Ju.87 (Arras)
Cdt Morlat=1 Ju.87 (Duisans)
Cne Naudy=2 Ju.87 (Solesmes)
Cne Clausse=1 Ju.87 (Roquetoire)
Cne Clausse+Sgt Killy=1 Ju.87 (Aumerval)
C/C Cukr (Czech)=1 Ju.87 (Peronne

S/Lt Troyes=1 Hs.126 (Sains-en-Goel)
C/C Cukr+C/C Koerber(Czech)=1 Hs.126 (Ham)"the" Ham in Artois)

Although the hours don't always match, the similarity of claims between British and French is troubling.

The Ju.87 of Lt Blumers (3(St)/TrGr 186) was probably shared between Cdt Morlat and Sgt Tourné but perhaps also by Cne Clausse/Sgt Killy.

Distance between Aumerval/Duisans=30 km "as the crow flies"
BUT it's troubling, similitarity of claims between that the one of Cne Clausse (Roquetoire) with the other by Cne Clausse/Sgt Killy (Aumerval)I(St)/TrGr 186? and F/Lt Boyd 145°Sqd (Roquetoire) for the Ju.87 (9/StG2)!

So,the Ju.87 (9/StG2) shot down by British and French?....possible.
Roquetoire/Aumerval=15 km "as the crow flies"

The Ju.87 (Fw.Fischlein 4/StG77) crash Rocroi was probably shared between P/O Hammar 151°Sqd and Cne Naudy (Solesmes)
Distance "as the crow flies" solesmes/Rocroi=80km,
but perhaps also unfounded for Naudy(80km.....)

The Ju.87(Fw.Bartsch 2(St)/TrGr186) probably shared between Sgt Tourné and C/C Cukr)
Distance between sud Arras and Peronne=30 km "as the crow flies"

The Hs.126 shot down (Bucamps) 2.(H)/23 PROBABLY shared between S/Lt Troyes,C/C Cukr/C/C Koerber and 56°Sqd and 242°Sqd )

Distance between Sains-en Goel/Ham and Hesdin=40 km "as the crow flies"

Conclusion:
Only one Hs.126 credited to french
five Ju.87 (maximum) credited to french (all shared)

Michel
