Hello everybody, I'm an italian researcher and I've just found this forum.
I would like to ask you some questions, maybe someone can help me:

- I am looking for victories or claims of allied pilots (English or American), that have been shot down a german plane in Italy the 14 April 1944.

- I would also need to ask you some information about the Ju 88,'4U+Dh' that was shot down the 14 April 1944 in Italy. It belonged to the 1 (F)/123.

I'd be so grateful to you if you give me these information.

I am researching Luftwaffe long-range reconnaissance squadrons and have published a German and English book of the 1.(F)/123 - "The Knullenkopfstaffel".

I am forwarding the following information about the loss on April 14, 1944:

Cause: Enemy fighter
Plane: Ju 88 T-1
Marking: 4U+DH
W.Nr. 430912
Pilot: Ofw. Schneider Konrad - killed
Observer: Lt. Epple Daniel - killed
Radio operator: Uffz. Hartmann Kurt - killed
Gunner: Uffz. Thiel Franz - killed

To the best of my knowledge, there are no Ju 88 claims in the Mediterranean by Allied fighters between the night of 12/13April 1944 and the night of 17/18 April 1944. 1 SAAF shot down a 2(F)/122 Me 410 on the 15th.
