Churchill's "beaches" speech ?
Hello,
Odd question you may think. But When did the British General Public first hear Churchill's speech "We will fight them on the beaches " etc ? I recently heard that this famous speech was made in Parliament, not over the radio to the public at large as is usually believed. And that the radio broadcast was made much later in the war. Thanks Alex |
