Franz Kunz info
Hello
He is deemed to have claimed 12 "abschusse":8 with JG53 and 4 with JG26. I found only these with the help of microfilm: 31/05/42=1 Spit (1.) 5/JG53 19/08/43=1 B-17(5.) 5/JG53 07/01/44=1 P-38(6.) 5/JG53 24/05/44=1 P-38(9.) 2/JG26 06/06/44=1 P-51(10.) 2/JG26 21/09/44=2 C-47(11.12.) 2/JG26 Someone has the missing claims? Mathews and Foreman notes, in Luftwaffe Aces part 2, also:
13 April 1944 B-17 and 19 April 1944 B-17, both with 4/JG 53. They note the number of total victories as 9. In Dr Prien's book on JG 53, part 3, claims 2-4 by Lt Kunz are noted as "Datummässig nicht festlegbare Abschüsse".
