Information about 1st Lt. H. Parker, 325th FG, 318th Sqd.

Gentlemen, I'm looking for information about this former P-51 pilot of WW2. I'm not sure if he wrotes a book or if he even survived the war. There's no information or picture about him on the net. So I'm hoping for your help. Maybe there is any source you know? Any help and information is greatly appreaciated. Thanks - Kurtl

He was killed in action on April 2,1945,46-45N, 15-40E, P-51D.
If I remember correctly, he went down through the overcast and was lost.

Kurtl12:
There is a short write-up in one of our 325th books about Parker, but it is filled with incorrect information. I do not know if the book is available but it is: Checkertails The 325th Fighter Group in the Second World War by Ernest R. McDowell.
Our coordinators used to have some extra copies; however, I checked and they have all been sold.
If you have some specific questions, I can perhaps help. I was in the 317th Sqdn and he was in the 318th sqdn. I did not know him personally.

Parker's best friend was Grant Smith the 318th FS OPS officer. I've got quite a few photos of Smith, Parker, with his dog Jerry by his #57 P-51D and other men of the 318th FS. BTW 318th FS P-51D #60 was just restored to flying status in the US!
