Photo Zhebe

Hi,
Anyone have or know of a photograph of Oblt Robert Zehbe, 1KG76, died September 16, 1940?

Best Wishes.
Robert.

Re: Photo Zhebe

Robert,

A few years ago I asked for information about this pilot from Bundesarchiv. I got a brief note back but no photo. the handwritten info just gave Robert Zehbe born 9-12-1913 at Kiel, served with Erg.KG2 (no dates) then on 31-7-1940 to I/KG76, missing to dead 15-9-40 with rank Oblt.
After Scheine the following is shown ?LF, Blindflugscheine II.
A wartime documentary film did show his grave at Brookwood but with his surname spelt wrong.

Regards

Brian Bines

Re: Photo Zhebe

Zehbe....finger trouble, sorry.

Hi Brian,
Thank you kindly for that. A photo of his grave is in 'The Blitz Then And Now' Vol two I think: a simple cross.

Best Wishes.
Robert.

Re: Photo Zhebe

Hi,
here is the photo of Zehbe's grave.

I think it was first published in US propaganda movie "Why We Fight" during WW2.
