Belgian RAF, SCHOONBRODT

Hello,

Who was SCHOONBRODT?
The only information I have on him is that he served with the Belgian RAF and died 30 December 1944. He was initially buried on the property of the Annunciades Sisters at Heverlee, Belgium. Back then the school run by the Annunciades served as a British General Hospital (No. 101 British General Hospital ).

Thanks in advance,
Dirk

Belgian RAF, SCHOONBRODT

Hello,

I've been to the Sacred Heart Institut of Heverlee (former No. 101 British General Hospital) to see an exposition yesterday and can confirm about his death date but he was listed as "Schoonbroodt". Can't find him in my database as KIA...perhaps an accident?
Regards,

Alexander

Thanks Alexander and Alain!

Alexander, I am one of the people who organized the exhibition at the Sacred Heart Institute at Heverlee.

Re: Belgian RAF, SCHOONBRODT

Dirk,

Congratulations...exposition was very interesting and I know it's a lot of work to prepare such kind of exposition....I've been through that....We've organized one 2 years ago here in Landen.

Do you perhaps have the date of birth of Schoonbroodt? This can help to research.....

Regards,

Alexander

Re: Belgian RAF, SCHOONBRODT

Alexander,

Thanks for the kind compliment.
Unfortunately, his date of birth isn't mentioned in the original British document kept at the archives of the Annunciades Heverlee (only surname and date of death are mentioned in his case).

Regards,
Dirk
