Potez 63 lost on 14/06/40

Did anyone have any information on the loss of a Potez 630 (631?) with Adj.Morizot over Mantes?
Was this part of DAT TOURS? or another unity,serial....

The french sources that I have were not very clear, for example Potez 630...631? flak or Jagd

Thank's in advance
Michel

Hi,

Potez 631 (s.n. ?) of ELD I/55 ( Escadrille légère de défense I/55, based at Tours ) shot down near Mantes, pilot adjudant Morizot PoW.
No more in Paul Martin's book: "Invisibles vainqueurs"

Re: Potez 63 lost on 14/06/40

Hello Michel
- this plane was a Potez 63.11 - shot down by flak
- The date is not 14 but 16th June
- All three members were taken prisonner - I have testimony of two of them
- ELd and other name does not existe, the Potez was part of the Tours DAT

All detail about this loss will be in my coming book on the GC 1/55 - Lela Presse
You can contact me by MP if you need more detail

Best

Matt
