1/KG6, 17th January 1943.
On 17th January 1943:
1/KG6. Junkers Ju88A (4356). Night sortie to London. Shot down by RAF Beaufighter night fighter of 29 Squadron and crashed at King Street railway crossing, Brenzett, Kent, 8.25pm. Uffz. Karl Sailer (FF), killed Obgefr. Paul Funk (B), killed Uffz. Josef Fleischmann (Bf), killed Uffz. Johannes Binder (Bs), killed Aircraft 3E+CH a write-off. Parts of this aircraft are on show at the Romney Marsh Wartime Collection (formerly known as the Brenzett Aeronautical Museum). Can I ask if I have the crew positions correct? Thank you.

Hello Steve,
the crew of this Ju 88 A-14 was F Uffz Sailer, Karl Bf Obgfr Funk, Paul B Uffz Binder, Johann Bs Uffz Fleischmann, Johann (Gen.Qu. loss return 19 Jan 1943 item 80). Regards Leo
