PS:

i read about that dogfight (which extended from Triberg to Vöhrenbach) many years ago in a book from Hermann Riedel, either "Auswegslos" or "Halt schweizer Grenze". A lot of Civilians and Soldiers were Witnesses of that incident.

Hi Fred,
This sounds good to me. Would you be happy to tell me the source you found this information? As Riewe was unharmed, there are no docs like NVM etc.
Thanks a lot in advance.

So far we do not know the exact place of crash, which is definitely a challange to find.

Rolf

Hi Rolf,
as i told you already years ago, Werner K. and i meet 2005 a former mechanic of NAGr. 13 near the former landing ground in Hüfingen, a Man named Horst Neumann. He gave me a few Weeks later a list on which accidents and crashes were listed handwritten. At End of War Mr. Neuman get stuck in Hüfingen, because his Homeland Ostpreussen was now in russian hands. Amongst other things he told me about a crash of a Bf 109 of NAGr. 13 near the Buildings of „Maria Hof“ in Hüfingen….
Regards

Fred
