two recce 109's shot down nr lannion 21 jan 1944

Hi All
I seem to have lost my info on the two recce 109's shot down on and near lannion on 21 jan 1944, by 193 Sqn & 266 Sqn, ( likely in a computer crash a few years ago )

think one was a G-6 ? the other a G-8 ?

any info would be of interest on the two 109's

cheers
jerry

Re: two recce 109's shot down nr lannion 21 jan 1944

Jerry found my notes on this as follows in case they are any help . S/L Peter Lefevre led 11 a/c of 266 Sqd and five of 193 Sqd on a Rodeo Dinard-Rennes-Gael-St.Brieuc-Lannion .On the last leg 2 109s were seen approaching Lannion (Morlaix) Lefevre led the attack on the one nearest the A/F which had its u/c down . Despite taking hits the 109 continued its approach but hit the ground and exploded by the A/F perimeter . The loss of Ofhr.Gregoritsch on the Grabesuche site is given as Morlaix by Flugplatz and near Morlaix Field on the French site . The second 109 was attacked by the a/c of 193 Sqd and shared by F/L Cassey and F/O Ingle . The 109 tried to evade by flying around a tall building followed by the hood being jettisoned but the 109 exploded and crashed by a church pond approx 6 miles east of the airfield killing Oblt. Heber . There is a factory by Roz ar Gavel to the east of Morlaix which likely had a tall construction . On the 6th Feb 1944 Peter Leferve bailed out too low attacking a German vessel and is posted MIA .

Any updates corrections to this appreciated

Regards
Brian Bines
