B-17G "Berlin Special" 42-31984, crashed 44

Hello,

I am looking for a colleague in Belgium for information of the B-17G-35-BO, "Berlin Special" 42-31984 from the 92nd Bomb Group (Podington, GB), crashed on 20.07.1944 at Leopoldsburg. He is working on the aviation history in this region.

I would particularly like to know if there are German KU- or AV-reports about this crash.
Many thanks for your help.

Best regards
Matthias

The MACR 7408 for 42-31984 on fold3.com has at least 14 translated pages from KU-2540.
It also has a page from KU-2544. (The Germans may have mixed up some crews.)

For those with fold3 access, MACR starts here:

On the same site mentioned above, there are pages for each crewman. This page is for Stein, and it has the links to the other crewmen's pages.

There are also six E&E reports at the National Archives:

Burbank: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5556774

Cook: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5556775

Jones: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5556776

Crouch: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5556777

Nobel: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5556778

Stein: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/5556949

(There are also summary pages for each of these reports in the MACR.)
