Identification W.Nr. Fw 190
Hello Lubo
According to Jagdwaffe Volume 5, Section 2, War in the East 1944-1945 by Bergström and Pegg this is Fw 190 A-8 "Blue 17" (W.Nr. 170 412) but the book does not identify the unit. The wavy line tactical marking on the rear fuselage reminds me of Fw 190 D-9 "Red 18" (W.Nr. 211 115) found at Pilsen in May 1945 which has been identified as belonging to I./EKG(J)... Other examples thought to be of Ergänzungskampfgeschwader (Jagd) include Fw 190 A-6/8 "Red 31" and Fw 190 A-9 "Red or Blue 19" so it's very possible this particular fighter was of this training unit as well. Horrido! Leo |
