Gen.Qu. loss report from 7 July 1941 No.2:
3.7. I./JG 54 Bombenwurf Flugplatz Mitau 100% Bf 109 F-2 21843 (= typo), correct is 12843. Regards Leo |

So based on the below information: http://www.ww2.dk/air/jagd/jg54.htm ** 3./JG54 at Mitau, 1.7.41 - 10.7.41 As this is the only unit listed as being here in this time frame it seems likely it is a 3rd staffeln machine. |
