Black Cross/Red Star Vol 1.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to re-publish the first volume of this series? As it is all but impossible to obtain a copy, a reprint of volume 1 would seem to make sense. Thanks for any info on this.

Hi Nick,

I believe Christer has said that a revised version of Vol I will be printed after Vol III was been published.

Like you say a copy of Vol I is really hard to come by so hopefully a revised edition will be published soon

Re: Black Cross/Red Star Vol 1.

My book "Barbarossa: The Air War" will be published by Ian Allan in 2007. It is a 100,000 word large format and richly illustrated book.

But before that, "Black Cross/Red Star", Vol. 3 will be published (around Christmas 2005 - see the "Black Cross/Red Star" website), and three pilot biography books: "Messerschmitt Ace Walter Schuck", and one book each on Hans-Ekkehard Bob and Max-Hellmuth Ostermann.

Re: Black Cross/Red Star Vol 1.

Thanks for this information Christer. I have two questions if I may ask:-

1. Is "Barbarossa: The Air War", the same text as " Black Cross/Red Star" Vol. 1. merely updated and reprinted or is this a completely new work?

2. Who will be the publishers of the three new pilot biographies?

1. "Barbarossa: The Air War" is a completely new work.

2. I prefer to let the publisher announce it when he sees fit.
