MH540 and MJ521

On 2 May 1945 SAAF 7. Squadron lost two pilots in Spitfires IX. Pilots were Lt. Stott and Lt. Logan. Allegedly, they flew MH540 and MJ521.

Please, can anyone confirm which pilot flew which plane and find plane letter? Squadron code was TJ.
