Hi Parabellum,

I didn´t note it but now I see it. Strange because the identification of s/n from this new, and my source gives BE684. With other indicia like roundel, field shape it frames the period for summer. Last loss for the 174 Sqn before 30/7 was Sgt Mort already on 2/6 during Circus to Foret d´Eu.

On the auction lister captions it as
P7606, PR-O or PL-O


29 Aug. Spitfire II P7606 (PK-O) F/Lt B. Mickiewicz (POW) Circus 85. Shot down by a Bf109 over Hazebrouck.

from the excellent website

which has a photo of the other side after recovery in a yard.
