Strange requests - July 1940!

Hi guys

A contact has sent me extracts from books relating to three German pilots circa July 1940, but no book references! Can anyone advise the relevant titles, please? I can't find them in my collection.

Trautloft: 19 July account of combat with Defiants

Rodel: 20 July flying with Neumann

Beudel of Erpr.210 second war flight 29 July.

Many thanks
Brian

Hi Brian
A quick search in Google books shows for the Trautloft entry:
Aces of the Luftwaffe:The Jagdflieger in the Second World War by Peter Jacobs
I'll check further and advise.

The mention of Beudel of Erpr.210 could be from
Luftwaffe Fighters and Bombers: The Battle of Britain by Chris Goss Pg 241
I don't have these books this information is based on internet searches.

Hope it helps somehow.

Trautloft's account I am sure was in one of his books. I have a photo of the pilots involved in this combat having contacted one of them. Beudel's account is taken from the K Report for when he was shot down and killed on 15 Aug 40 but is included in Mason's Battle over Britain and my book. John Vasco did not use it in his book and knowing John, there was a valid reason why not.
