F/Lt G.A. Welch 622 Sqdn KIA

Hi,

Looking for any information for F/Lt G.A. Welch KIA whilst serving on 622 Sqdn on 15/2/44.

Unusually he served on 218 Sqdn from 23/6/43 completing Ops and then he was posted to 214 Sqdn on 16/8/43 until he joined 622 Sqdn on 5/11/43 until he was killed on 15/3/44.

I have the list of opes he completed on 218 & 622, does anybody have the ORB's for 214 Sqdn and could let me know if he flew operations with this squadron

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Not quite the answer you wanted, but a Sgt G A Welch flew at least one op with 214 Squadron:

17/18 August 1943 - Peenemunde

No.3 Group - 214 Squadron.

Stirling EF405

Sgt G A Welch
Sgt Marshall
Sgt O J Singer
Sgt P A Tansley
Sgt C W Walmsley
Sgt L E Cox
Sgt R L Wensley

See:

Check each link and click on the
