Bf 109G14 WNr. Batch 464xxx

Hello,

I am looking for more information about production of Bf 109G14, WNr. Batch 464xxx. Is it known factory where planes were built? Is it known approximately time-frame of production? And, it would be miracle, are there some information about delivering of planes to combat units or about test flights? Especially ErgJG 1.

Thanks for help and reply

Michal

Hi.

The 464xxx series was built by Erla as far as my sources go.

I do not have the dates for when they were built, but the delivery probably started after September 1944. (There are no 464xxx series aircraft in the available loss lists for Schulen und sonstigen Verbände, typically the first losses for a batch occurs at the Flugzeugüberführungsgeschwader 1, as they transported aircraft to the different units and collection points).

The first registered loss I have for an aircraft in this range is on the 2nd of December, in J.G.3, but I guess people that have gone through NVM's for units from late 1944 will be able to find loss dates before that.

I have 60+ registered losses for aircraft in this WNr range, several of these in the Erg.J.G.1.

Regards,
Andreas

Re: Bf 109G14 WNr. Batch 464xxx

I have 14 losses in my EJG/EKG(J) lists:

11 by EJG1 (9 from I. gruppe, 2 from IV. gruppe)
1 by EJG2 (II. gruppe)
1 by EKG(J) (I. gruppe)

Hope this helps,

Chris

Re: Bf 109G14 WNr. Batch 464xxx

Thanks all for information.

I am especially interested in losses of 9./ErgJG 1 in time frame between February 20 and April 10 1945, when this unit was stationed at Hradec Králové (Königgrätz) Airfield in Eastern Bohemia. I have found only 2 losses of 9./ErgJG 1 on February 20 1945 during transfer from Bautzen-Litten to Hradec Králové (not NVM, just Local Police Report) and no more. I am curious if somebody could add more crashes from NVM. I am lack of information about 9./ErgJG 1 activities in this timeframe, only few confirmation of victories by Flugmeldefunk Kompanie z. b. V. 31. As far as I know, ErgJG 1 used many planes from WNr. Batch 464xxx. If somebody could help me with some additional information or if somebody knows about some Articles or useful Archivical Material, it would be greatful.

Except 9./ErgJG 1 I am interested in Schutzstaffel ErgJG 1 in time frame April 10 1945 until End of War. Does somebody know when was this unit created? I could not find anything more, then 2 crashes of this Staffel on April 10 1945 (almost sure during transfer flight) and on April 14 1945. Once again nothing more.

Michal,

Of the losses I mention above, only three fall within your timespan, and even then they're from I. gruppe

In fact, my lists have no 9. staffel losses at all. (sourced from Gen.Qu.6.Abt.)
