Panzer-Aufklärungs-Schwarm II Info

Is there any information out there concerning Panzer-Aufklärungs-Schwarm II? I recently purchased the Soldbuch (Pay Book and Personal ID) for a pilot named Walter Hedrich who served with this unit from 18 March 1945 through the end of the war. Another numeric designation appears next to the unit name, that is, L00133F. (Berlin). I am wondering if perhaps this is one of the units based at Tempelhof that operated Fieseler Storchs mounted with Panzerfausts. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Barry

P.S. Attached is a scan of the unit designation in the Soldbuch.

Re: Panzer-Aufklärungs-Schwarm II Info

The "Panzer-Aufklärungs-Schwarm 2" was a short distance reconnaisance unit.

The unit was part of the 1. Fliegerdivision (II. Fliegerkorps of Luftflotte 6) and located in Pasewalk (a town ca. 140 km north of Berlin).

According the ground readiness reports of Luftflottenkommando 6 from 22.3.45 until 6.4.1945 the unit was equipped with 6 Fi 156 over the whole period.

In total there are 5 so called "Panzer-Aufklärungs-Schwärme" (Panzeraufklärungsschwarm 1 to 5) within Luftflotte 6 (the units are part of different Fliegerdivisionen).

Enclosed you will find an field repord of the unit.

Thanks a lot Luftahrtsammler! Surprisingly, Walter Hedrich was the Schwamfuehrer and signed the document you provided. Again, thanks!
