Sunderland of 95 Sqn 14 Nov 41
On the above date, H/L5803 was involved in a running battle with a Condor of 3/KG 40; can anyone tell me if Fg Off Bailey, Plt Off Blackden or Plt Off Lawrence was the ac captain and if so what were his initials? Ac was damaged and gunner Sgt Terry McCrory killed by the way

Re: Sunderland of 95 Sqn 14 Nov 41
Hello Chris
The Sunderland must have been repaired after your incident, as L5803 caught fire at its moorings during refuelling, 22/8/1942 with 95 Sqn according to Nicholas Roberts. Regards Mark |
