New (?) database listing USAAF dead
I will post the link here, I have never heard of this database before, so the "new(?)" in the title, but maybe it had allready been posted here.
http://www.usaafdata.com/search This database main interest is to be able to search the casualties by aircraft serial, by typing it in the details field. The database is supposed to be complete up to end 1943. Casualties are listed for latter dates, but not all. Only dead are listed. By the way, the serial 42-12345 (example) could be listed as 42-12345 or 42 -12345 (with an extra space), so my advice would be to post only the second half. You can also type an aircraft type in the details field and see what the database will reply. It can be interesting, but a good part losses are only listing in the details field the serial, not the aircraft type. Hope it helps |
