Do217 Wnr 5406 crash on 23/1/44

Good morning everybody here

on 23 January 1944, all German Aircraft in the South of France take off to attack the Allied fleet at Anzio - Nettuno.

Among these aircraft, the Do217E5 WnR5406 6N+CC (Stab KG 100 with Frantz Eberthauser as captain and Eberhard Fessenmeyer, Johannes Sachy, and Horst Held as crew) fails to take off : the aircraft explodes but the crew, although wounded, survives.

The explosion is so violent that the windows of the Cloister of Blagnac (several kilometers away) are damaged. (we can suppose that the aircraft was carrying Hs293 flying bombs). The French Gendarmerie will even write a report on this accident.

Has anybody further information on this event, or on his crew? or an idea on how get information on this accident ?

I know it is a long shot because KG100 archives are almost nil, (I have already checked JL.Roba's book), but I try...

From the book by Ulf Balke. Crashed on take-off from Toulouse-Blagnac. Aircraft: Do 217 E-5, 5406, 6N + CC (St. II/KG 100). Crew from Stab/KG 100 injured. Sortie: Anzio-Nettuno. No more info.
