I will also advise Gregory Alegi who didn't know anything about this specific 202. Otherwise a type he is is quite fond about!

Kari,

the picture had been taken after Italy entered to war (on 10 june 1940) because the S.202 wears the white cross insigna, adopted after that date.
When Italy was neutral, the aircraft had a three colour rudder.

PK was Pori. Tampere-Pirkkala was opened 1979.

Guys

Gregory Alegi came back with the following regarding the pilot
"Vittorio Beonio-Brocchieri was an Italian explorer, academic and journalist.
He was recalled as a reserve captain in 1940 and given a Saiman 202 to travel for his work.
He wrote several books and it is possible that this Scandinavian tour is also mentioned. Now all we need to do is find that book"
