Hello,

Can anyone provide details of the loss of the Bf 110 Werk-Nr. 2209 and Werk-Nr. 2492 on the 18.10.1941?

100% loss, Smolensk

W. Nr. 2492 is a Bf 110 E-3 sub-variant according to Petrick/Mankau

Absturz. Bruch 100 %.
1941-10-18, 5.(H)/23, Bf 110 E-3, 2492, 6K+XN, 2,5 km südöstlich Schtschekino, 22 km südlich Tula
Flugzeugführer Uffz Baumann, Werner, +
Beobachter Ofw Skorsch, Anton, vermißt
Bordfunker Gefr Baumann, Hans, vermißt
Absturz infolge Jägerbeschuß. Bruch 100 %. Beobachter und Bordfunker mit Fallschirm abgesprungen.

The loss of the Bf 110 2209 was listed in the Gen.Qu. report from 22 October 1941. According to the correction from 6 December 1941 the Meteorologe was Wd.Insp.a.Kr. Alois Schmidthuber.
