'Axis Wings' The Luftwaffe & co-belligerent air forces' compendium

Dear Luftwaffe fans....
I'm pleased to announce our new venture, 'Axis Wings', is currently in production, due for release around February / March 2024. A compendium of stories, artwork and rare photos concerning the Luftwaffe and co-belligerent air forces from inception to demise. We hope that this will be a regular publication, and currently have two issues in the pipeline. Each issue will feature prominent and respected authors, who have contributed articles that are too short for a conventional book, but too long (and interesting!) to just sit on a hard drive somewhere, unshared. There is still a great wealth of information on the Luftwaffe and its allies waiting to be uncovered and shared, and 'Axis Wings' aims to redress that balance.
Each issue will be around 200 pages, in full colour, with detailed information, fantastic artwork and rare photos (including unseen ones).
Attached is the cover art for issue 1, and some sample pages.
Thanks for looking!

Production looks great as do the contributors.

I'll definitely pick up the first issue to give it a go over.

200pp is a good length too.

Many thanks! The longevity of this project really depends on people buying each issue, so your interest is appreciated.

This looks very good with a bit of something for everyone. A few thoughts. Perhaps a way to solicit suggestions for future content, and a way to get reader feedback beyond reviews. I'm sure people want to see their favorite unit, aircraft and pilot covered, but giving the reader what he prefers will help ensure more issues appear. Of course, that does not mean that some new and unexpected material should not still be included. I'm very interested in late war operations and KG 200.

thanks Ed. We have thought about this actually. There will be a photo section with (mainly) unseen images from private collections, including my own. We invite the reader to comment, and also make suggestions about accuracy, units, locations etc. We will then hopefully publish the comments in a 'reader's corner' section. We also invite submissions of photos, stories and other tidbits. It's really a work in progress, and my hope is that it will be an organic, self-perpetuating archive of ideas and shared information.

How do people feel about subscriptions, by the way?

Hi Rich,

Very impressive! You have an all-star group of contributing authors, an interesting mix of subjects, and laudable goals.

You can count me in for a subscription.

Many thanks Leon!
I had to re-read that you didn't say 'laughable' for a second :-)
