RAF casualty information wanted - 18 dec 42, 235 squadron, biscay

hi all,
964699, William Joseph Ginger of Northampton, was a flight sergeant in 235 squadron, who was reported missing on the 18th of december 1942.
His brother stated he was in coastal command and reported missing over the bay of biscay.

can anyone throw any light on what may have happened to him and his pilot, who may have shot him down, the location of the squadron on this date or anything else you think i may like to know.

regards
nigel

Re: RAF casualty information wanted - 18 dec 42, 235 squadron, biscay

hi all,

Chris, please don't take it the wrong way as i just wanted it confirmed 100% before i told his brother, i guessed your reply was in a straight forward order but seeing two sergeants in one aircraft and two officers in the other and only one time, i thought i'd double check.
before i posted the question i did a google search for casualties and came up with bruno stolle but the kill listing stated 248 squadron. so many thanks for the 235 squadron connection.

many thanks to all who replied.

regards
nigel
