book question

Hi all,
I am enquiring about the following book:
"German Aircraft of the Second World War"
by J.R.Smith & Antony L Kay

I am looking to buy it BUT have found it listed as having both 400pp and 745 pages!?
Can someone tell me how many pages this book has and whether one edition/year is better than another?

regards
Peter

Re: book question

Peter, the latest edition has 400 pages in larger format while the older 745 (iirc the correct count is 760 pages or so) is in the traditional small A5 Putnam format. I haven´t seen the newest edition, but I believe there has been no updating or revisions made. In my opinion, the smaller format, thicker older edition is much nicer to handle and use so I´d buy that one, if it isn´t more expensive.
