Austrian Tauben

Hello All,

Currently for sale on ebay are a couple of nicce photos of Fischamend Tauben:

1. https://www.ebay.de/itm/K51-Feldpilo...0AAOSwwN1dvCfW

2.https://www.ebay.de/itm/K68-Flugfeld...gAAOSww31dvDR7

3.https://www.ebay.de/itm/K47-Flugzeug...QAAOSwyS9dvCIy

1. Is machine serial F3, the later 72.03

2. Shows machines Achilles and Allons. The former of which became successively 71.02 and 72.32 while the latter did not survive until February 1915 and received no serial in the Fischamend 71.xx or 72.xx range.

3. Machine 72.13

Does anyone have any information wth regard to the wartime units that operated these 3 aircraft?

Regards,

Clint

Clint

I am away from home another two weeks plus, so no access to my books.
Since you seem very interested in various WW 1 topics I take it you have the K.u.K. aircraft bible (Peter Grosz)?

I also have a few other books, but so far I am not aware of anyone trying to do a detailed (one-by-one) list of the K.u.K. aircraft.

Cheers
Stig

Re: Austrian Tauben

Hello Stig,

I do indeed have a copy of Austro Hungarian Army Aircraft of World War One. The reason I put the question out there is precisely because there isn't anything in one place for individual aircraft serials, but there does appear to be quite a bit of scattered infornation around, so I'm always hoping to add to what I have.

Also I hope other forum users find the images I've posted of interest and certainly in the case of the Taube, its a very aesthetically interesting aircraft.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Austrian Tauben

Thanks Clint

Unfortunately there seems to be few members on TOCH really interested in the period 1903-1919.
I think Frank Olynyk mentioned the Aerodrome forum as a good alternative.

I am rarely myself on that forum nowadays, which is a shame, since those Guys are really good with what they do.

Perhaps you already are a member? Otherwise I suggest you try them out.

Cheers
Stig
