Re: My Moelders Biography

Like many others who can only read English I pray that this book is translated and published in English.

Re: My Moelders Biography

The book just came in by DHL.
Second attempt, day after the first and that was only after 6 working days!
More importantly S&H didn't add significantly to the cost.

Usual 296 publishing standard, nice selection of photographs (people, not machines) and a foreword that just draws you in. The first few pages afterwards held that promise. I'm looking forward to reading the book in the coming days (unfortunately my son of 13 months doesn't allow the kind of reading that I was used to, but that's another story...).

Re: My Moelders Biography

Just finished...

a crucial and absolutely essential work about an outstanding pilot, tactican and a very complex personality. A "must have", without any question...

Based upon an overwhelming collection of private correspondence, diary entries and unknown first hand sources, this book shed some light upon the personality of Werner Mölders.

And a very interesting and important point: the author himself draws no final conclusions - so every reader has the possibility to do so for his own...

Again, I'm deeply impressed! Definitely not "vergaloppiert" ...

Best regards

Heuser

Re: My Moelders Biography

I will look out for it.
I picked up a 1941 copy of "Mölders und seine Männer" by Fritz von Forrell the other week at a local antiques market coincidentally.
Great condition too but as usual with wartime German publications the typeset is hard work !
A snip at €8 though.

Re: My Moelders Biography

Takes a while to adjust, but once you get into it it is easy. Read a lot of WW1 material in old german type set. Still have some unread titles, including pre-WW1, waiting for the next round.
