Re: Photos Luftwaffe Trainers

Hi Stig,

Yes, I think Tony Jones questions whether all Stkz were used only once and he's been looking at them a long time. My horoscope today advised against offering strong opinions and I've already done that once in this thread.

Predictably, nonetheless I would like to ask if a photo has ever been seen showing Fi 167 V-1 as TI+HT rather than the more usual D-OCML. If it has that would be important. On the LEMB Stkz database Peter van Gogh, as you will have seen, noted the conflict in the allocation of this Stkz, but also the existence of a photo for the Go 145, which may be the one I've linked to I suppose. As matters stand while there is no resolution the stronger evidence is for the allocation of TI+HT to a Go 145.

I would recommend you sign up with Stammkennzeichen.de. Wolfgang recommended it to me, I believe in this thread, a few days ago and its been very interesting to browse. But yes very much looking forward to some info from a FB if available.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Luftwaffe Trainers

Indeed Clint

I tried once to join, but was evidently not considered of any importance.

Not doing that mistake again....

Re: Photos Luftwaffe Trainers

H Stig,

Yes, I tried joining about 10 years ago or more, and no result - no reply. However, pretty straightforward this time, just an overnight wait. Natürlich, if you feel offended as a result of last time and not inclined to bother, that would be completely understandable.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos Luftwaffe Trainers

Ha, ha Clint

No worries, very little offends me these days.
I wasn't offended back then either, but since I tried a couple of times and realized in the end I was wasting time.

Since I was still working time was premium, hence I gave it up.

But if you say it has become much more friendly, perhaps I give it a try?...

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos Luftwaffe Trainers

Hello Rémi,

Yes its a little unusual isn't it, and its gets odder. If the setting

https://www.ebay.it/sch/i.html?_from...biplano&_oac=1

is used it is possible to see all the photos of Luftwaffe aircraft currently shown on the .it version of ebay. What is interesting is that the same seller is using two different ids ro3737, which is what i've been posting hitherto and antik2627 as for example in the photo of the Hs 123 RG+NK. Whether random or not, more of the photos associated with the second id are familiar. Weird no?

Also, though I wasn't aware until conducting further research, the same user is on the .fr version of ebay. Using the same principle many Luftwaffe aircraft on ebay.fr can be found by entering

https://www.ebay.fr/sch/1/i.html?_fr...Desc=0&_sop=10

Naturally, this spiked my curiosity and I tried the same operation with ebay.de.

https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from...=15502&_sop=10

Although this shows most Luftwaffe photos on ebay.de curiously enough, the seller appears under neither user name on ebay.de.

However, this was a useful exercise as I can now offer to save time for members of TOCH looking for Luftwaffe related photos by using one or all three of these links:

https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from...=15502&_sop=10

https://www.ebay.it/sch/i.html?_from...biplano&_oac=1

https://www.ebay.fr/sch/1/i.html?_fr...Desc=0&_sop=10

It is therefore no longer necessary to follow posts with numerous individual links, but no added value in terms of information and instead just use one or all of these links each time you wish to search for Luftwaffe photos.

Regards,

Clint

Clint

If you look again on the He 72B "D-E+FYR" (on the top wing) at least I believe
I can see a WL prefix meaning we have a rough time table for the shot in question.

Cheers
Stig
