A ?? RE: Erich Schwarz;

Guys:

I have a question RE: the flying career of Erich Schwarz of JG26; I know he was severely wounded in May 1944 and I know he returned to action with JG 26 & served to the end of the war. Don Caldwell's JG 26 War Diary has Schwarz being wounded in May 15(?) 1944 but the next entry I find him is him leading a mission 'sometime in December' 1944 (sorry dudes, my copy is at work); Does anybody know when he returned to active duty from his injuries?

thanks, ahead of time;

NM

Hi Nick,

He was wounded on 15 May 1944, and claimed an aerial victory with 1./J.G. 26 on 25 December 1944. Sorry I can't provide any further information.

Cheers,
Andrew A.
