Rare 16mm colour film - Bf109 crash 1940
Very rare and unique 16mm amateur film shot by Major Charles Montagu Andreae probably during the Battle of Britain.
Records Channel shipping under attack, vapour trails, Boulton Paul Defiants (264 Sqn?) a downed Messerschmitt Bf 109 and captured German pilot. Also coastal defence 14-inch gun "Pooh" at St Margaret's Bay on the Kent coast. Would be great to ident the Bf109/Pilot Well worth a watch. 4 mins. https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/i...ect/1060009501 |
