Last shot down Mustang (in dogfight) over Europe

Gentlemen,

According to my knowledge, the last Mustang claim over Europe was Major Dahl's on 26 April, 1945, near Dillingen. Was it a real kill, confirmed by the US records? Anyone knows further Mustang claims in middle of April?

The last Hungarian Mustang claim was on 16 April, 1945 (8th AAF) and it was confirmed by ground witnesses. Because of the intensive strafings and losses on that day, I am afraid, that it is impossible to identify that plane exactly. Was it any real Mustang losses by the Luftwaffe after that date?

Thanks,

Are you looking for P - 51 victories over LW or LW victories over P-51s?
cheers

Hello,

Sorry, if it was not evident:

I am looking for real Mustang losses by dogfight (claimed Mustangs by Luftwaffe pilots after 16 April, 1945)

The following Website http://www.luftwaffe.cz/dahl.html may be of help
Entry 128 of 26/04/1945 refers
Cannot find any P-51 losses after that date.

Hello Ross,

Have you read my first post? I don't think, that your link contains more info in any way.

BTW on that day only the 354th FG lost one Mustang over Europe (serial no. 44-72967) but I don't know the circumstances of these loss (asked somebody from the 354th site, but he didn't know the answer)

Hi

Just throwing another website into the pot. What you see is what you get. I have no further information. See last two entries on list.

Kind regards
