Bf110 E-1 II./NJG2 identity

Hi everyone. I was trying to gather more info on this Bf110 supposedly attached to II./NJG2 but I couldn't get any better than this picture. Does anyone has more hints/pictures on the identity of this nachtjäger dressed with regular day-fighter camo?
Any help will be highly appreciated!
Oscar

Re: Bf110 E-1 II./NJG2 identity

As it shows the II/ZG26 Ladybird symbol, do records exist of aircraft

tranfered to II/NJG2 ? Its a long shot but it may narrow down your search.

Cheers Mike

Re: Bf110 E-1 II./NJG2 identity

Thanks Mike. That's precisely what I've been able to find so far. Besides, the type match with the composition of many units of NJG1 (not NJG2), which is why the England Blitz emblem on the nose of the 110 in the picture has a white rim and not a red one, as seen on NJG2 aircraft?...
ZG26 previous ownership is also feasible due to the twin bomb racks under the wings.
If I just could see/know the unit code...

It seems this is one of those "unsolved mysteries" of the Lutwaffe... :/

Hi,
The Wappen is from NJG 2 or III/NJG 1.

It's a Bundesarchiv photo showing the Bf 110E-1 WNr. 3920 G9+AA of the Kommodore Major Wolfgang Falck from Stab/NJG 1 during spring 1943.

Falck led the 2./ZG 76 until February 1940, he retained their ladybird insignia also on his later aircraft.
