PONGARTZ, ? von der. 1942-43 Obstlt.(d.R.), Nachtjagdraumführer 100.

First name unknown. This is the only assignment we ever found for him, so he may have returned to inactive status in 1943. I am guessing he was an older reservist as was the case with a number of the Nachtjagdraumführer.

Re: Nachtjagdraumführer 100

Hello Larry and Carsten,

Pongartz seems not a right German name to me. I have this entry: Heinrich Bongartz (31-1-1892 in Walsum, 23-1-1946 Rheinberg), see Kdo Bongartz

Best regards, Marcel Hogenhuis

Re: Nachtjagdraumführer 100

Pongartz comes from a British intelligence report. Bongartz became CO NJRF 100 from March 1943, but who was the first CO ? I also have my doubts about when NJRF 100 was operational. Some sources says July 1942 and other the first of October 1942.
