Photo 1. B-17E 41-9194 65BS / 43BG lost over N Guinea Dec.2 1942 (1/Lt. R. K. Freeman). Apparently not named.
2. Nakajima Ki.27 "Nate" 77th Sentai, they were based in Thailand in 1942. Markings were carried over to their Ki. 43 "Oscars". 3. Mitsubishi Ki.51 "Sonia". The horizontal tail stripes were used by several units including the 83rd. Independent Chutai in the E. Indies in 1942. Nick |
