This is an official German abbreviation: vsl. = voraussichtlich, which means expected or probable.

Hi ed, I've got to agree with you regarding the JG77 flugbuch! Item No.8.
Its a beautifully written example, if only half of these flugbuchs were so neatly compiled like this it would make our research much easier.
Many a time when you acquire a logbook like these there so difficult to transcribe I've got lots like that!

Correct name is Caudron C.714 (or sometimes also listed as Caudron-Renault CR.714)
The C.710 was only the prototype
A French unit GC I/145 manned by Polish pilots flew it.
